strong and osteoporotic bone weak inner layer of the bone

WHAT IS OSTEOPOROSIS?

OSTEOPOROSIS is a condition in which the bones become fragile and brittle, increasing the risk of fracture.

Bones have TWO layers

Strong bones outside do not mean strong bones inside.

Bones have 2 layers - a strong outer layer and a weaker inner layer.

When compared to the outer layer bone, the weaker inner core is more vulnerable to break down and loss of bone density.
